Fleming Board of Governors Seeking Applications

The Fleming College Board of Governors is seeking applications for two upcoming vacancies. Each position consists of a three-year term commencing September 1, 2012 with eligibility for a second term.

With eight Board meetings per year, members must commit to regular attendance expectations. In addition, governors are required to serve on one Board committee each year and may be required to participate in other committees, projects or events.

For this recruitment opportunity, applicants from the City of Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough regions in the following sectors would be of interest: skilled trades (areas of manufacturing / industry, apprenticeship and construction / building maintenance), environmental resources / renewable energy and tourism / hospitality. An awareness of post-secondary education issues and an ability to evolve relationships that will build and support Fleming College are also desirable assets.

Individuals should also have experience in effective governance and possess relevant expertise / leadership at their place of employment or through community involvement.

Members of the community interested in contributing to the governance of Fleming College are invited to submit an application on or before Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Applications can be submitted by one of the following methods:
