Sculpture - Ways of Making

Course Code: ARTS2753

Build a mindful artistic practice in the wake of the climate crisis. It can feel challenging to create art during environmental upheaval. This course will address ways to approach making art that will feel regenerative and integrated with the environment. Working thoughtfully with what is around you, learn how to use objects that are considered to be at the end of their usefulness. Find poetry through making sculptural forms from items in your immediate space. Rather than drawing on raw materials to begin a new artwork, sharpen your eyes to what might be overlooked.
A $30 material fee payable to the instructor will be needed on your first day of class
