Music - Beginner Guitar

This course is suitable for those without any experience on the guitar as well as those just getting started.
This week-long course is designed to get you playing right away, setting you up with the basic skills and knowledge to continue your guitar exploration for years to come. During the week you can expect to learn the fundamentals of acoustic guitar playing including posture, tuning, chord shapes, rhythm & strumming and chord progressions. You will explore playing the guitar both with a pick and with fingers by using a few well-known song examples. Learn overview methods of communicating music such as TAB and music notation. Topics such as effectively learning music, how to best play with other musicians, and get in on a 'jam' will be covered.
The week will culminate in a lunch-time group performance opportunity in the Great Hall at HSAD.
