Mixed Media Sculptural Collage

Create mixed media multidimensional sculptural collages from personal artifacts and ephemera. Old handwritten letters, documents, photographs and keepsakes which trigger memory can hold emotional and historical significance. Reframe your obsolete personal items into a new light. In the process, you will develop and expand essential art making skills of thinking, compositional layout, critical looking, making, and talking about visual artworks. Concepts such as colour theory and the physiological effects of colour will be covered. You will also learn how to sculpt and form papers using both wet and dry adhesion, creating dimension and life. Create sculptural collages that reframes your past and inspires your future.
A $85 material fee payable to the instructor will be needed on your first day of class
