Kim-Lee Kho

Kim-Lee Kho is a multidisciplinary artist and former designer with a family of scientists and artists that have influenced her work. In 2016 and 2018 she was a featured artist in the In Situ arts festivals in Mississauga, with multimedia installations and live performances. Kim has participated nationally in exhibitions, residencies, and mentorships and had two major solo exhibitions in Toronto in 2019. A popular and knowledgeable arts instructor, she teaches at Neilson Park Creative Centre in Etobicoke, while also teaching, presenting, critiquing, demonstrating, and jurying exhibitions at the invitation of art groups in Ontario. www.kimleekho.ca

Saskia Wassing

Saskia Wassing is an artist trained in embroidery and weave at Glasgow School of Art, Scotland. She creates joyful textiles, inspired by her past experiences, observations and memories. Referencing her sketchbook drawings, Saskia works freely onto a textile ground. Embroidering by hand and by using a basic domestic sewing machine as her drawing tool, layering fabric and thread into colourful narratives. Saskia has exhibited her work extensively and been commissioned to design and produce custom furniture, textiles, embroidery and prototypes for individuals and industry. Saskia teaches to all ages and levels and is currently faculty in the textile department of Sheridan College. www.saskiadesigns.com

Eve Goldberg

Eve Goldberg is a compelling songwriter and interpreter whose music spans folk, blues, country, swing, bluegrass, and more. Known for her watercolour voice and solid guitar style, she is a favourite at festivals and concert series across North America, and she has released three albums to widespread acclaim. Currently performing with the duo Gathering Sparks, Eve is also a much sought-after music teacher and leader of workshops on guitar, ukulele, singing, and songwriting. She emphasizes making music for the joy of it and believes that everyone can do so. In her teaching, she strives to create a fun, supportive environment for students to learn and grow. Eve was deeply honoured to receive the 2021 Estelle Klein Award, recognizing her contribution to folk music in Ontario. www.evegoldberg.com

Gord Jones

Gord Jones is a watercolour artist residing in the Algonquin Highlands. The surrounding landscape in Haliburton is a great source of inspiration for most of his paintings. He interprets the essence of his chosen subject rather than producing detailed likenesses of actual places. Watercolour allows Gord to transfer the light and shadow that he photographs in real life to the painting. With a fluidity of colours, Gord combines impressionistic strokes and semi-abstract techniques to elicit memories of place and time in his transparent watercolour landscapes. Mary Intven Wallace

Mary Intven Wallace, award winning artist, educator, and author, shares her love of the land, sea, and sky in her contemporary paintings of the Canadian landscape. In her artwork, she shares her view of this wonderful world as a place of vibrant colour. Brenna MacCrimmon

Brenna MacCrimmon took up the ukulele in 2009 and now rarely leaves home without it. Her musical adventures began over 30 years ago when she set out to study the music of Turkey and the Balkans. Since that time she has performed in Turkey and abroad with Selim Sesler (trad Turkish Gypsy), Muammer Ketencoglu (trad Balkan) and psychedelic Turkish rock group Baba Zula, as well as numerous ensembles in the US and Canada. She has also toured Europe with Balkan beat DJ Shantel and the Bucovina Club Orkestra. Brenna has recorded with the above musicians and has appeared as a guest on many albums and film soundtracks in Canada, the US, and Europe. In 2010, she found herself in Moscow as a member of the cast of Bobble with Bobby McFerrin. More recently in Toronto, she performs with Juno and CFMA nominated Turkwaz, sings with ragtime pianist Bill Westcott and runs regular ukulele sessions in her downtown studio. During the pandemic, she has been a frequent guest artist with Mabellearts, delivering community arts programs online for newcomers, and has been learning the practical aspects of Turkish shadow puppetry. www.greengoatmusic.ca

Pam Carnochan

Pam Carnochan is an artist, a farmer, and an outdoor enthusiast. This combination makes her art refreshing and her methods appealing. She shears the wool from her sheep, washes and dyes it, and then felts it into landscape paintings. The process she has titled Watercolour with Wool, and the method is felting using both wet and dry (needle) felting techniques to create the images. She has taught at the Algonquin Art Centre, the McMichael Art Gallery in Kleinburg, and in numerous schools, service clubs and art organizations over the past 14 years. Pam is currently a member of the Muskoka Autumn Studio Tour (Canada's original studio tour), The Artists of the Limberlost Tour, co-chair of the Huntsville Art Society, and founding member of the Landed Art show. www.MorganHousewoolWorks.ca

Dagmar Kovar

Dagmar Kovar works primarily in fibres and drawing. With fibers, she creates sculptural works, hangings, and installations of various sizes, spanning from palm size sculpture to room installations. In drawing, she explores roots of creativity and the human mind. With her work, Dagmar explores how we connect to the world. Since 2012 she has focused primarily on the exploration of sources of creativity through the technique of "drawing with intuition", collecting valuable content and experiences, sharing these nearly continuously since then with students of widely various backgrounds, from novices to practicing artists. Dagmar has exhibited across Canada, the US, Europe, and China; received a number of government grants in support of her work; and her work is represented in private and public collections. Stephanie Rayner

Stephanie Rayner is an artist, printmaker, international lecturer, art educator, and captivating storyteller. Her artworks, shown widely and collected by major art museums, deal with themes and issues relating to spirituality and science. In May of 2009 Stephanie was in China at the invitation of the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, China's foremost art school, to teach the professors and select post-doctoral students watercolour printmaking and a special course on universal meaning in the arts. She was also invited to give lectures on her artwork in several universities throughout mainland China. In November 2009, the Maine College of Art (Portland, Maine) did a special month long gallery show 'First Impressions' of Stephanie's and her students' watercolour monoprint works. Her latest artwork, the 30-foot-long Boat of Eternal Return, was highlighted on the cover of the winter edition of Exile ELQ Arts & Literary Magazine. ELQ also did an essay for the magazine and a YouTube video on Stephanie and the creation of the boat. The Boat of Eternal Return ran as a four-month-long solo show at PAMA, and the same year Stephanie was awarded The Ashley Fellowship by Trent University. She is the first visual artist to receive this award. Harriet Boon

Harriet Boon is a spinner, dyer, weaver, and retired shepherd. She earned her Master Spinner certification in 1976 and continues as an instructor in Spinning Certificate programs. Her involvement with fibres and natural dyes spans five decades, during which time her education was enriched through travels in Europe and Asia. Harriet teaches workshops in Canada and the US.

Jeremy Laing

Jeremy Laing spent his childhood on an army base in Germany. He learned to sew at age 13 by watching his mother, and has been making clothes ever since. Jeremy's self-taught method, which combines organic and geometric approaches to pattern making and construction, was honed while studying in Toronto, on exchange at Westminster University in London, and through an apprenticeship with Alexander McQueen. Following his apprenticeship, Jeremy worked freelance developing showpieces for five of McQueen's collections, demonstrating his strength in innovative pattern making, garment construction, and the use of textile to create form. In 2011, Jeremy was a finalist for the prestigious ANDAM Fashion Award. In Jeremy's view, garments are a sum of parts, all functioning in relation to one another and, ultimately, to the body. His collections often stem from his elaborations on simple principles of construction and form, drawing simultaneously from couture and tailoring traditions. Jeremy currently lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
