Haliburton School of Art + Design
Art + Design Education Leaders
We’re known for providing unique and flexible programs taught by professionals who have shaped art, craft, design, media and heritage studies in Canada. No other college offers students this breadth of creative programming.
Learn at campuses in Haliburton and Peterborough that provide a one-of-a kind, hands-on studio experience. Our certificate, diploma and post-graduate programs will help you build a solid portfolio to take you to the next step - whether that’s continuing education, embarking on a career, or starting your own practice.
Haliburton is vibrant artistic community where students have the opportunity to leave behind the everyday world and immerse themselves in a truly creative environment. From day one, you are viewed more as an artist and designer colleague than a student; our role is to share our expertise and mentor you to become the creative person and professional you are meant to be.
OUR ART CERTIFICATES ARE INTENSE

Our school leads the way in providing a wide variety of studio-based art programs. Delivered in over 30,000 square feet of dedicated art space, individual class sizes are small, ensuring you have access to equipment, room to work, and time to interact with faculty. Each week you learn alongside a different faculty member who brings their unique perspective and expertise into the studio. Equivalent to two-semesters of full-time study, our accelerated 15-week certificates provide over 600 hours of hands-on studio time. Certificates are offered as stand-alone programs and in conjunction with our Visual and Creative Arts, and Integrated Design diplomas.
