Haliburton School of The Arts Huntsville program a success

Published

The Haliburton School of The Arts, in partnership with Education Huntsville, Canada Summit Centre and the Town of Huntsville offered 12 weeklong art courses in July. With a total registration of 86 students, the pilot program is considered a great success.

“The Create It in Huntsville pilot project of The Haliburton School of The Arts was a very welcome addition to arts and adult programming in Huntsville this summer. Huntsville’s Cultural Strategy, adopted just last February, identified a credited-art school partnership program as a short-term goal. From all accounts, the critically-acclaimed Haliburton School of The Arts brand was a perfect fit of their expert instruction, our need, local demand, and our facility. Many students attending the school in Huntsville this summer were most complimentary and eager to continue. The Huntsville experience with the Haliburton School of The Arts was professional, seamless and rewarding,” said Teri Souter, Manager of Art, Culture, Heritage and Programming for the Town of Huntsville.

“On behalf of the Directors of Education Huntsville, I’m delighted to express our appreciation and congratulations to the Director and staff of the Haliburton School of The Arts for mounting such a successful pilot arts program in Huntsville this past July. The comments heard during the three open houses were most positive and complimentary… and the quality of the art produced was inspirational. We look forward to Haliburton’s continued presence and expansion in our community. Education Huntsville was honoured to be a part of this initiative,” said R. Attfield, Chair of Education Huntsville.
