Building Bridges for Women in Trades and Technology

The glaring and longstanding gender gap in the trades and technology industries presents a significant limitation on our local and national economies. Women currently make up only 5% of the skilled trades workforce in Canada and 9% of the student body in skilled trades programs at Fleming College.

You can help us to close the gap by supporting the Building Bridges for Women in Trades and Technology program at Fleming College.

This program will support female students in a trades or technology program and will offer them financial scholarship, mentorship from women working in the sector, and networking and engagement opportunities. This suite of supports will help them to thrive in school and develop skills needed to enter high-demand trades and technology occupations.

With a fundraising goal for 2021-22 of $150,000 to support 30 students we need your help! Any amount of donation will make a difference. If you would like to discuss scholarship naming opportunities, please contact Advancement at MakingADifference@flemingcollege.ca
