Spencer Burchall Memorial Student Bursary

Estimated Value: $500.00
1 available in the fall semester

This fund was established by the Donor in 2014 to assist Sir Sandford Fleming College students.

A graduate of the Customs Administration program (now Customs Border Services) in 1994, Spencer brought an enthusiasm and dedication to his studies and professional career.  He continued to have a relationship with Fleming College long past graduation.  Spencer devoted much of his time to supporting new, returning and graduating students of this Fleming College program through his employer, Livingston International.  In his over 20 years as a Livingston employee across Ontario, but most recently in Toronto, he would return to Fleming College to speak with students by delivering presentations, mentoring them one on one and by supervising them through Livingston's partnership with the Customs Border Services co-op program on the job.

Spencer was also an avid snowmobiler and boater in the Lindsay area.  He made lifelong connections through his many friendships and family, and will be missed by all who were truly blessed to have him in their lives.  This bursary has been established in Spencer's memory by his family to mark that enthusiasm and dedication to his chosen profession and the people he worked with every day that meant so much to him.

The Spencer Burchall Memorial Student Award will be awarded in June 2020 to a full time student enrolled in the second year of the Customs Border Services program who is in financial need.
