Paul Damario Student Bursary

Estimated Value: $500.00

This fund was established by the Donor in 2012 to assist Sir Sandford Fleming College Students.

This bursary was created in honour of Paul Damario who after a courageous battle with cancer passed away at the age of 60.  Paul spent his entire career in the manufacturing sector as a skilled laborer at Outboard and Marine Corporation in Peterborough and General Motors in Oshawa.  While working full-time to support his family, Paul was his own general contractor.  He was  a meticulous hands-on worker who applied himself to projects that included building a home for his family and the design and construction of small buildings and renovations.  He was 'Mr. Fix-It' to many; always tinkering with anything mechanical.  He loved music, cooking, lacrosse, golf, hockey, supporting his community and, most of all, his family, friends and faith - they meant the world to him!

Paul would be thrilled to support students in the skilled trades and technology programs who have a desire to learn skills that align with what they love to do and he would encourage those considering entrepreneurship.

Awarded to a student in any year or program within the School of Trades and Technology.

Applying is Easy
