Tom Cudmore
Tom Cudmore has been blowing glass professionally for the last twelve years. Tom found art early in life and has always had a passion for creation. Learning glassblowing at Sheridan College in Oakville Ontario he then worked, blowing glass in British Columbia, learning the basics of production glass making. After moving back to Ontario, Tom assisted revered artists, such as Andy Kuntz, Paull Rodrigue, and Kelly Lowe. The skills and aesthetic acquired in this career stage are among the reasons his present-day glass is so refined. For eight years he did a residency at The Living Arts Centre in Mississauga Ontario. Currently, Tom runs the small business Tropical Iceberg Glass with partner Alyssa Getz. This glass is made at a private cooperative studio in Georgetown Ontario- Glen Williams Glass. The impactful gift-market glass that is Tropical Iceberg is sold throughout Canada and the United States, including at the Corning Museum of Glass.
