Sharon Kirsh

Sharon Kirsh
Sharon Kirsh is an artist, interior designer and arts educator. Her vibrant and richly layered abstract surfaces depict the joy and surprise we experience while exploring and discovering our natural environments through a thoughtful exploration of colour, pushing the limits of two dimensions with her rich and varied art practice. She works in painting, mark-making, printmaking, cold wax, collage and fibre arts. The ever-changing and evolving choice of materials are employed to best evoke feelings of tangible depth and discovery. Sharon believes that surprise and wonder are best expressed by integrating those elements into her work. Sharon has taught classes and workshops at various levels to hundreds of students at various art clubs, schools and organizations. In 2018, Sharon received the Emerging Creative Talent award from the City of Richmond Hill and the Best in Painting award at the Don Mills Centre Art Square Show in Toronto. Sharon is represented by Koyman Galleries in Ottawa and is a founding member of the Art Collective Gallery in Richmond Hill. Visit her website: sharonkirsh.com
