Liz Eakins

Liz Eakins
Liz Eakins works on paper. Originally a woodblock printer, Liz mainly works with Japanese paper: burning, stitching, mark making, crumpling and collaging. One sees expressions of randomness in patterning next to precise hand stitching and everywhere the presence of the human hand. Recently Liz has taken up different mark making tools and translated these feelings through paint on board. A resident of Creemore, Liz Eakins graduated from the Ontario College of Art in 1986. Her work has been exhibited throughout Ontario and can be found in many private collections.
