Youth/Teen - Fun with Fibre

Explore the technical and creative side of fibre arts. Learn how to use sewing, felting, crochet and hand-weaving to bring our imaginings to life. Needle-felt 3D creatures out of wool, and weave a landscape for them to live in. See the inner workings of a sewing machine and try hand sewing, embroidery, quilting and machine sewing techniques to make a stuffed animal and a wall-hanging. Crochet can be done flat to make items like scarves, or 3D to create adorable amigurumi plushies - learn the basic stitches and how to read a pattern. Bring your imagination and find out what you can create with fibre!
