Winter Landscapes Workshop

Haliburton School of Art + Design

Enrol in Winter Landscapes Workshop

Course Code: ARTS2347

Winter landscapes offer particular challenges: adjusting the colour story of winter skies to reflect the icy weather, capturing colourful late-day shadows on snow, and conquering compositions that embrace the graphic potential of snowy spaces. Demonstrations will serve as a tune-up for winter; resetting the painter's eye for the changes in light and landscape in the coming season. Underpainting for skies, enriching dark conifer greens, and adding believable branches will also be covered in this fast-paced workshop. Reference handouts will be available, detailing demonstrations and exercises.

Some courses require additional textbooks and/or materials. Please visit your campus bookstore in-person or online: Peterborough Bookstore or Lindsay Bookstore.
