Please note: This course is not suitable for beginners. Knowledge of basic ukulele chords, familiarity with the C major and F major scale, and the ability to read standard music notation for the ukulele is required.
Learn more exciting and fun repertoire for the ukulele and expand your knowledge of keys and chords while playing and singing in a group. Explore new scales and strumming patterns, improve your music reading, and gain a deeper understanding of music theory. Instruction will work in C tuning, using the second book in the Ukulele in the Classroom series by James Hill and J. Chalmers Doane, as well as supplemental material supplied by the instructor. A ukulele strung with a low "G" string is recommended. Low "G" strings will be available for purchase for those who need them. You will be required to bring your soprano, concert, or tenor ukulele. Baritone ukuleles cannot be accommodated.
