Travelling with a Sketchbook

Haliburton School of Art + Design

Enrol in Travelling with a Sketchbook

Course Code: ARTS2164

Please note: Some watercolour experience is preferable. Whether you travel near home or farther afield, travelling with a sketchbook makes the experience more memorable and enjoyable. Discover easy, enjoyable and successful approaches to painting and sketching on location. Use a variety of tools, water media and techniques to capture the essence of the landscape. Many practical ideas for travelling with a sketchbook will be shared. New techniques will be introduced in the classroom, followed by some time en plein air applying new skills and approaches. Gain the courage required to paint on location the next time you travel, even if the trip is just to your dock at the cottage.

Some courses require additional textbooks and/or materials. Please visit your campus bookstore in-person or online: Peterborough Bookstore or Lindsay Bookstore.
