Enrol in Singing - Improvisation, Harmony, Vocal Meditation & More

Course Code: ARTS2447

This course is not suitable for novice singers. Please see description for detail.
This course is a vocal adventure! Dive into the realm of vocal improvisation and finding 'music in the air'. Using various exercises in the tradition of Circle Singing (Bobby McFerrin) and the Vocal River (Rhiannon), work with the group to find the joy of singing spontaneously. Explore vocal meditation, body percussion, deep listening, songs, and skill-building exercises. Learn to create 'motors' (repeated vocal phrases), harmonies, and interlocking parts. You should be able to sing a scale and chord tones without accompaniment and feel fairly comfortable singing in front of others. Or be willing to dig in and work on those things. Most importantly, try new things and support others in this group experience.
