Increase your knowledge of the two types of secondary treatment plants commonly used: activated sludge and rotating biological contactors. Learn the principles and equipment of the activated sludge process, gain an understanding of the factors that influence and control the process, develop troubleshooting skills, identify safety hazards and correct safety procedures, and perform necessary calculations. Investigate rotating biological contactor by reviewing the purpose of each component, the start-up procedures, operations, maintenance and troubleshooting, as well as the safe performance of a rotating biological contactor. 0.7 Wastewater Operator CEUs (ID: 1326)
