Enrol in Quilting - I Have Something to Say

Course Code: ARTS2504

This course is not suitable for beginners as it is not a 'learn to quilt' class. Instruction suits confident beginners to advanced quilt makers.
Quilts are often about more than just being pretty and functional. They can make a statement. Arrive prepared to be a motivator, an activist, a troublemaker, an instigator, a supporter. Just have something to say! The role of making a statement in quilts will be examined and a variety of techniques practised; including commercial letter patterns, improvisational piecing, paper piecing, stitching and printing into fabric, stencilling for raw edge applique, trapunto, reverse applique, and adding texture, movement and focus. Use several techniques to create a sampler quilt with something to say.
