Gain an overview of the wastewater treatment process, with an in-depth examination of the preliminary treatment phase. You will be able to explain the purposes of racks, screens, comminutors, grit channels, grit separators, and pre-aeration. Learn to properly start up, operate, shut down, and maintain the preliminary treatment equipment. Discover how to determine the volume of screenings and the time period of a disposal site before it is full, how to measure and regulate the flow velocity in a grit channel, develop an operational strategy and review plans and specifications for preliminary treatment processes. 0.7 Wastewater Operator CEUs (ID: 2038)
