PARE Testing

Enrol in PARE Testing

Course Code: LAWS176

The RCMP Physical Ability Requirement Evaluation (PARE) is an occupational test used to assess an applicant's physical ability to meet the physical demands of police work. The nine essential physical activities required by police officers in the pursuit of their duties are walking, pushing, pulling, carrying, lifting, vaulting, jumping, climbing and running. The PARE test simulates these conditions for the purposes of the evaluation. A two-hour testing block includes orientation, instruction and the administration of a 4 minute 45 second test for each participant.

Some courses require additional textbooks and/or materials. Please visit your campus bookstore in-person or online: Peterborough Bookstore or Lindsay Bookstore.
