Enrol in Mosaics - Small Sculptures for the Canadian Garden

Course Code: ARTS2434

The Canadian climate can present challenges for outdoor garden pieces. Concrete is an excellent solution, with great creative potential. Mosaic a student-purchased concrete garden feature such as a birdbath, concrete bowl, concrete stepping stones, statue, or other small pieces; or work on a stone slab. A concrete structure that has very little detailed carving with large areas of smooth concrete is most suitable. Instruction will address suitable adhesives for outdoors, materials that will survive a Canadian winter, cutting techniques, adhering shards to concrete and stone, and how to grout and seal your work.
