Mixed Media Collage Texture Workshop

Haliburton School of Art + Design

Enrol in Mixed Media Collage Texture Workshop

Course Code: ARTS0895

Try new materials and break through creative inhibitions, taking your work to a new level. Using mostly found and household items such as tissue paper, aluminum foil, cheesecloth, fabric pieces, wallpaper, text, photocopies, and whatever else you can dig up, you will create an original and personalized piece of art. Explore how composition, colour, and value can make a strong piece no matter what materials are used. Acrylic paints are best suited, although watercolour combined with inks can also be used for mixed media. A sense of adventure is encouraged in this exploration of materials and how they work/react with each other. It's a process of trial and error, playing and building.

Some courses require additional textbooks and/or materials. Please visit your campus bookstore in-person or online: Peterborough Bookstore or Lindsay Bookstore.
