Does your heart ache? Why not prescribe yourself a week rich with creative healing exercises and experiences. Art-making is known to regulate breathing, reduce levels of the stress hormone Cortisol, improve HRV (heart rate variability), lower blood pressure and accelerate healing. Mend Your Heart with Art offers a repertoire of research-based artistic experiences and expressions for self-care, mindful presence and inner calm. The course is firmly based in Expressive Arts, meaning a low skill, high sensitivity way of working. It's all about your experience not your ability. Don't be concerned with making works of art, rather allowing the art to work for you. Sadness, exhaustion, depression, loss and heartache are invited to gently wend their artful way through a week filled with many comforting opportunities to explore playful compassion, gratitude, joy and creative fulfillment. Gift your heart, with art. No previous art experience is necessary.
