This Introductory Lean training session gives participants a basic understanding of the key concepts of Lean Thinking. Participants learn the language of Lean and to view their work processes and product flow differently. They are able to capably participate in Improvement projects and brainstorming discussions. Module topics include: Lean Overview, Implementing 5S/6S, Visual Workplace, Standard Work, Spaghetti Diagrams, Gemba (Waste) Walks, Error- or Mistake-Proofing, Kanban and Material Management, Work Leveling/Load Balancing, Work Cell Design and Improved Office or Facility Layout, and Rapid Changeover Techniques/SMED, in a modular format that can be completed over a two-month period as the participant is able to complete it. Participants who complete this level can move on to complete their Lean Yellow and Green Belt Certifications.]
