Jewellery - Piercing

Course Code: ARTS2663

One of the most important tools in any jeweller's toolbox, a jeweller's saw (or piercing saw) is a small handheld coping saw that is used to cut intricate shapes and pierce holes in a sheet of metal. In this course you will learn to create graphic pieces of jewellery from sterling silver plate using just a jeweller's saw. Impactful jewellery designs will be made with consideration for positive and negative space. Several pierced jewellery pieces will be created including pendants and earrings. No previous metalsmithing experience necessary.
