This course creates a safe space to experiment with materials, techniques and new ways of thinking. Using the work of several internationally established artists, you will come to understand their processes, techniques and ideas as a way to approach and nurture your own. This is an opportunity to explore multimedia, sculpture, stencil, painting, installation, mixed media drawing, fibre arts - whatever that artist uses that sparks your interest! Through the creation of a series of projects that replicates their work, you will come to expand and understand yours. By participating in group presentations, you will analyse the work of these artists, acquire a deeper understanding of the contemporary art world and see how these influential art makers can affect and impact your own work.
