For centuries indigo has been used worldwide, from clothing for workers to regal garments. Learn techniques to create indigo vats for dyeing fabrics in a variety of shades of blue. Instruction will also include a green indigo vat. Explore Japanese resist methods of clamping, stitching and binding - patterning known as Shibori. The fascinating history and culture of indigo will also be explored.
