This course will focus on creating fun and functional pottery while exploring fundamental hand-building techniques and a variety of decorating techniques. The characteristics and working properties of clay will be discovered as you create vessels, boxes, bowls, plates, and cups using pinching, coiling, and slab-building techniques. This is an ideal course for beginners or for intermediate hand-builders looking for new ideas and opportunities to experiment. Additional clay will be available for purchase from the school at a cost of $20 per bag, which includes glazing and firing.
