An employee's distress can take many forms, from the loss of a pet to changes in health and circumstances of loved ones to financial anxieties to grief and bereavement. In this interactive and practical workshop, gain clarity on the subject an employee's personal distress as it affects the the workplace. We will focus on awareness of how distress, grief and loss can impact employees and the workplace, understanding the many faces of grief, recognizing when help is needed, and how to help support a bereaved employee and create a supportive work environment for employees who are bereaved. We will also discuss the key elements of a Workplace Bereavement Policy, so your participants will come away with sensible solutions for how to provide a caring yet professional work environment where employees are treated with compassion.
