"The eye sees what the mind comprehends."
The gesture is the starting point of a figure drawing. Understanding basic human anatomy can help overcome preconceptions in the complex task of interpreting what you see. Referencing a life model, this workshop will examine essential anatomy and important surface landmarks on the figure to develop greater awareness of what makes a gesture drawing more dramatic. Additionally, techniques will be explored to open up your approach to drawing.
