Enrol in Composition - Impact & Effect

Course Code: ARTS0055

Understanding the principles of composition enable control of your painting and its impact on the viewer. Instruction and demonstrations, done in acrylics on 12" X 12" birch ply panels, will explore how colour, value and design affect every composition. The aim is to understand composition principles and be able to self critique and problem solve any artwork, not to create finished paintings. Ongoing group and individual critiques are integral to the course and process. You are welcome to bring a sample selection of three pieces of your own artwork for a class critique. Artists working in any medium, from beginner to advanced, will benefit in making their artwork strong and successful through the understanding and manipulation of the principles of composition.
