Please note: Basic beading experience would be helpful.
Design, build and decorate a unique figure, using glass beads, leather, wool, fur and fabric. You will be challenged to combine traditional and contemporary beading techniques including loom work, rosettes, peyote stitch, bead edging, fringe, and lazy stitch. A traditional fabric doll body, clothing, face, hair and accessories will be constructed. These beading techniques are used to create a broad range of work from jewellery to three-dimensional objects. Skills and techniques learned will be apply to a variety of projects. Designing with colour, texture and form will be discussed. Please bring pictures, ideas and examples of projects you would like to create.
