Enrol in Backpack Electrofishing

Course Code: FIWI064

Gain the hands-on skills to use backpack electrofishing safely and effectively for stream surveys. Learn theory and techniques in class before spending a full day in the field to practice your new skills. On the final day you will have time to review before the practical certification test. Participants will require a pair of non-breathable chest waders in good condition with no leaks and backpack electrofishing equipment. Please bring your electrofishing equipment to the first class. If you do not have access to electrofishing equipment, please notify us at time of registration. This course is similar in scope to a Class II Backpack Electrofishing course and is suitable for those new to backpack electrofishing and those looking for a refresher course.

This course is designed for those currently working in the industry. Current students may request to be put on a wait list for any available seats by contacting the Con-Ed office at coned@flemingcollege.ca.Participants will require a pair of non-breathable chest waders in good condition with no leaks and backpack electrofishing equipment. Please notify us at registration if you plan on bringing your own backpack electrofishing equipment.
