Graduates of Visual and Creative Arts Diploma (VCAD) program with an average of at least B or 75% are eligible. Students may enter a studio Program Major at the 200 level. Studio Program Majors available to graduates of VCAD for advanced standing as of 2009 are: Drawing and Painting, Photography, and Sculpture/Installation.
OCAD Faculty of Art Program Major entry requirements under this agreement:
• Drawing and Painting
Students intending to major in Drawing and Painting will be required to have studied the Drawingand Painting (Visual Arts Fundamentals) specialization in the VCAD program or , to have taken at least three of the courses in the Drawing and Painting (Visual Arts Fundamentals) program including Colour - Drawing & Painting.
• Photography
Students intending to major in Photography will be required to have studied in the Photo Arts specializatio n in the VCAD program or, to have taken at least three of the courses in the PhotoArts program including Colour - Photo Arts.
• Sculpture/Installation
Students intending to major in Sculpture /Ins tallation will be required to have stud ied in the Sculpture specialization in the VCAD program or, to have taken at least three of the courses inthe Sculpture program.
Credit Value
Successful applicants who are granted Advanced Standing through this agreement are given the equivalent of 3.0 first-year studio credits: Drawing, 1.0; Colour, 0.5; Form and Structure , 0.5; two elective courses, 1.0.
