You’re invited to create a buzz at the Frost Campus Apiary

Lindsay ON (September 20, 2018) – Fleming College is pleased to invite you to the Frost Campus Apiary as students, faculty and staff welcome the bees to Fleming on Friday, September 21 from 12-2 p.m.

The apiary was installed at Fleming College in July 2018 as a student initiative to support pollinator awareness and pollination services. The new apiary has two beehives, each with a colony of honeybees. The hives are securely housed within a 10 by 10 foot fenced in area.

The event will include local honey tasting and a hive demo, members of the Lindsay Community Garden and members of the Pollination Action Committee of the City of Kawartha Lakes.

The event will take place at the Lindsay Community Garden, located behind Frost Campus, Friday, September 21 from 12-2 p.m.
