You Are Here: A College Experience Photography Contest

Published

How would you describe your college experience? Colleges Ontario wants to highlight the creativity and ingenuity found throughout the province’s college system. That is why we have launched You Are Here: A College Experience Photo Contest. The contest is open to all students currently enrolled in a college. We are inviting you to share photographs of the college experience, however you best wish to capture it in your photograph. A jury of visual arts professionals will select the top 12 photographs and those photos will be included in Colleges Ontario’s 2010 desk calendar. The calendar will also include a brief biography of the student who took the photo. The winners will each receive an iPod Touch and their photos will be featured in the Colleges Ontario 2010 calendar, on the Colleges Ontario website, and exhibited at the 2009 Colleges Ontario Annual Conference. The top 12 photographs will also be exhibited at the 2009 Colleges Ontario Annual Conference in Toronto this February, where more than 800 conference attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite image. The image that is voted the favourite will be used as the December photo in the calendar and will be reproduced into a holiday card that Colleges Ontario will send out to business partners across the province. In addition to the iPod Touch, the person who shot the favourite photo will also receive a $100 iTunes gift certificate. The deadline for entries is Dec. 15, 2008. Visit www.CO-youarehere.org for more details.
