Summer Transition Programs for Students with Learning Disabilities

Fleming College will offer two different orientation programs for students with learning disabilities this summer – First At Fleming and Head Start.Each program is designed to help students start off their first semester at Fleming on the right foot.First At Fleming will take place Aug. 31 to Sept. 4. The program will help students identify their learning strengths and weaknesses and gain hands-on experience with assistive technology.Students can also meet with key college disabiltiy service providers on campus.Head Start will take place at the Frost Campus on Aug. 26 and at the Sutherland Campus on Aug. 25 and 27.This program helps students learn about the resources available at Fleming and understand the differences between high school and college.For more information, contact:Hilary Nunes at 705-749-5530 x 1292 (June) or Claire Cruikshank at x 1722 (July).
