Museum Management and Curatorship students host exhibit openings

Peterborough ON – (April 14, 2014) – Students in the Museum Management and Curatorship program will host two exhibit openings on Wednesday, April 16.
1-2:30 p.m. – Trent Anthropology: 50 Years of Discovery
For 50 years, the Department of Anthropology at Trent University has explored the range of human experience past and present, evolving with discipline while undertaking diverse research, and preparing students for success in a variety of careers. The exhibit presents this information in a unique and engaging manner, taking the Fleming students’ seven months of research and dedication to come to completion.
The opening will take place at Trent University in the DNA Building, LHS Block C, 2nd Floor Lounge.
4-5:30 p.m. – Stories of Sacrifice: Peterborough Remembers World War One
This exhibit commemorates the 100th anniversary of the start of World War One, allowing visitors to reflect on the experiences and contributions of the residents of Peterborough, and the lasting legacy of the war on the community and the country. The exhibit will run until June 8 at the Peterborough Museum and Archives.
The opening will take place at the museum, 300 Hunter St. E. (Museum Drive).
