Interactive Learning with Toddlers and Families program

Published

Peterborough ON – (Friday, Sept. 4, 2015) – Early Childhood Education (ECE) students from Fleming College are welcoming families to the 2015 Interactive Learning with Toddlers and Families program.

The program is aimed at children 12 to 30 months of age and their parents/caregivers. Parents will enjoy an interactive parenting experience while toddlers engage in a creatively designed play space that connects with nature, is play-based, child-centred, and builds on curiosity.

The ECE students, in their third semester, are responsible for all aspects of the program and are supervised by two ECE faculty members. Students observe, document and prepare a portfolio to share each child’s learning journey.

The program runs Tuesday or Wednesday mornings between Oct. 6 and Dec. 8. Families attend one morning per week from 9:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

The cost is $100 for the full eight weeks and the program takes place at George Street United Church, 534 George St. N. in Peterborough.
