Published

Haliburton, ON – August 10, 2012 – The Annual Haliburton School of The Arts (HSTA) Faculty Art Auction on Thursday, August 9, 2012, grossed more than $18, 000 through the sale of 48 silent auction items and 71 live auction items. Proceeds from the event are directed to bursaries and scholarships for students attending arts programs at the Haliburton campus.

“This year’s annual art auction was a great success,” said Sandra Dupret, Principal of HSTA. “The $18, 000 raised this year will greatly assist our students pursuing a post secondary arts education this upcoming year. As always, the auction represents the amazing support from our community and faculty. We are so very fortunate in Haliburton and at Fleming.”

The auction was held at the Fleming College campus, located on 297 College Drive in Haliburton. There were many unique works of art, all created and generously donated by artists that are (or who have been) members of the faculty at the Haliburton School of The Arts.
