NEWS RELEASE                            For Immediate Release Haliburton School of The Arts and OCAD Partner to Open Doors for Arts Students Graduates eligible for entry into the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) Haliburton ON – April 26, 2010 – Graduates of the Visual and Creative Arts Diploma program at the Haliburton School of The Arts are now eligible to apply for Advanced Standing into the second year of the Faculty of Art at OCAD.   “One of our key goals is to ensure that our graduates have the experience and credentials to access further education within the arts,” said Sandra Dupret, Principal of the Haliburton School of The Arts. “We are delighted by the opportunity presented through this agreement with OCAD that enables us to provide further opportunities for our graduates.” At the Haliburton Campus of Fleming College, students thrive on a focused, hands-on art experience with close guidance from expert faculty and extensive studio time.  With training from both the Haliburton School of The Arts and OCAD, students can be guaranteed they will be receiving the highest level of arts education available in Canada. Graduates of the Visual and Creative Arts Diploma program are eligible to enter an OCAD Studio Program Major at the 200 level in Drawing and Painting, Photography and Sculpture/Installation, with the completion of four first-year-of-study OCAD credits. The Haliburton Campus of Fleming College is located on the shores of Head Lake in the heart of the Haliburton Highlands.
