Gravel truck donated to Heavy Equipment programs
Lindsay ON – (October 28, 2010) – Fleming College welcomed a generous donation from Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. on Oct. 8.
Enbridge gave the Centre for Heavy Equipment Technology a gravel truck, valued at about $20,000, for use in the Heavy Equipment Operator and Heavy Equipment Techniques programs.
This is not the first time Fleming College has received a contribution from Enbridge. In July 2009, the company donated equipment valued at $90,000. The college received three backhoes and three sidebooms at that time.
Students benefit from equipment donations as it allows them to gain practical, applied experience, said Carmen Moore, coordinator of Fleming’s Heavy Equipment programs.
