Frost Student Association launches Lindsay-Peterborough shuttle bus

Published

The Frost Student Association located in Lindsay, Ontario is launching a new shuttle bus connecting the Lindsay and Peterborough Fleming Campuses.
The FSA Shuttle was voted in a student referendum last spring, as the shuttle is funded by Frost student fees. The $50/year per student will be paid with tuition, much like the Alumni Fee. Making stops in Lindsay, Omemee, Fowler’s Corners, Fleming College Sutherland Campus and downtown Peterborough, the shuttle will provide students living in Lindsay access to the Peterborough Bus Terminal. Conversely, students now have the option of living in Peterborough while attending classes in Lindsay.

The shuttle is free for all current Frost students. Fleming students attending the other campuses (Sutherland, Haliburton, Cobourg) are able to buy a semester, year or 2-way pass. All Fleming staff are able to buy a 2-way pass only. The shuttle is not available to the public.

The FSA would like to thank Fleming staff and departments, especially Tania Clerac, Sustainability Projects Coordinator for performing the initial research and business proposal.
