Published

Peterborough ON – (November 17, 2020) – Achievements of the Class of 2020 will be celebrated virtually this year at Fleming College’s 54th Convocation Ceremony, available through the College’s Convocation website.

Never has a graduating class at Fleming College been called to step into the future with more purpose and hope. During this unprecedented year, Fleming College will host its first Fall ceremony virtually to celebrate the Class of 2020 on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020 at 1 p.m.

In advance of Convocation, graduates are receiving packages via courier containing their diploma, collar, and alumni pin. For graduates who earned their Indigenous Perspectives Designation, they will also receive an Indigenous Perspectives letter included in their package.

All graduates are encouraged to share their Fleming College pride via social media by snapping a selfie with their diploma and tagging #FlemingGrad.

The virtual ceremony will feature Honour Song, Land Acknowledgement, welcome by Board Chair Dan Marinigh, remarks by Fleming College President Maureen Adamson, and O Canada performed by Kate Suhr.

Fleming College’s 54th Convocation Ceremony marks its second virtual Convocation, as the College adapts due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the delivery is different this year, the Fleming College community is excited to celebrate the Class of 2020 virtually and congratulate graduates on this incredible achievement.

Visit the College’s Convocation website on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020 to tune in to the virtual ceremony.
