Fleming College students fundraising for Shinerama

Published

Watch for Fleming College students fundraising for Shinerama in Peterborough and Lindsay on Saturday, Sept. 12.

From noon to 3 p.m., student volunteers will be downtown at Peterborough Square as well as the Canadian Tire and The Brick on Lansdowne Street West in Peterborough, and at Boston Pizza and Canadian Tire in Lindsay. Members of the community are encouraged to stop by any of these locations to donate.

Shinerama, in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada, is Canada’s largest post-secondary fundraiser. More than 35,000 student volunteers from 60 Canadian universities and colleges across the country come together every year to make a difference in the lives of those battling Cystic Fibrosis. Students across Canada will be shining shoes, flipping burgers, washing cars, setting up volunteer tolls and doing whatever it takes to raise crucial funding to fight Cystic Fibrosis.
