Peterborough ON – (April 7, 2022) – It’s time to highlight the end of the ‘21/22 academic year with a display of student innovation, inquiry, dedication and success.  Join Fleming College, industry and non-profit sponsors, and judges on April 14, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to witness students compete for top prizes at this year’s Innovation and Technology Showcase in partnership with Bell.

This annual event showcases the creativity and fresh ideas students bring to help industry and non-profit sponsors find innovative solutions to business and technology challenges. A total of 44 business and technology students have presented their work to judges from across the College and we are now ready to showcase the top 10 teams in the Showcase Grand Finale.

“Events like this lay the groundwork for the future success of our students and highlights the skills our students are ready to bring to the workplace,” said Fleming College President Maureen Adamson. “Our students are applying their knowledge and working alongside industry and non-profit partners. A big thank you to Bell for their continued support of this wonderful event and its entrepreneurial spirit.”

Participating students earn academic credits for their projects. There is also prize money for the top teams.

The past year has presented unique and unprecedented uncertainties that has allowed Fleming students to rise to the challenge, pivot and adapt to online learning, which included both online peer-to-peer meetings and presentations. This year, students will be presenting their project virtually.
