Fleming College Job Connect still open for business

Fleming College Job Connect Resource Centre is still open for business while Bonaccord Street is closed for bridge work.Employment Ontario’s Fleming College Job Connect program is reminding job seekers it is still open for business despite the road closure in front of the McRae Campus where Job Connect is located. The road has been closed to through traffic since the summer. During construction, Job Connect is accessible via an entrance off McDonnel Street between the Woollen Mill buildings. Youth between the ages of 16 and 24 can book an appointment with an employment counsellor at Job Connect to get help with all aspects of their job search, including resume and cover letter help. The centre also provides employer referrals and training incentives for employers that hire Job Connect participants. The Job Connect Resource Centre is open to anyone looking for work regardless of age.  Qualified staff will assist with resume, cover letter writing, and interview skills. The centre has job boards and online postings, computers and Internet access for job searches, a fax machine and photocopier, and Labour Market and Apprenticeship information. Related workshops are offered throughout the year.All services are funded by Employment Ontario. Fleming College Job Connect is open between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Job Seekers can drop into the Resource Centre at 555 Bonaccord Street or call for an appointment at 705-749-5520 ext 2222.
