Fleming College Early Childhood Education students host interactive learning for children and families

Published

Early Childhood Education (ECE) students from Fleming College are welcoming families to the 2016 Interactive Learning with Toddlers and Families program.

Each week the toddlers will take part in a child-centred, play-based program while families enjoy an interactive workshop. The program builds on the children’s curiosity and connects them with nature through developmentally appropriate activities.

The program is aimed at children 12 to 30 months of age and their parents/caregivers.

The ECE students, in their third semester, are responsible for all aspects of the program and are supervised by two ECE faculty members.

The program runs Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday mornings between Oct. 4 and Dec. 8. Families attend one morning a week from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. The cost is $100 for the full eight weeks and the program takes place at George Street United Church, 534 George St. N. in Peterborough.
